Due to unfortunate circumcises I am having to post this challenge early, this will be the last challenge for a little while until I can resolve some technical problems my end. I want to thank the DT for all their hard work this term, they have done a fantastic job.

Meet our July Guest Designer - Mazlina:-

I am Mazlina Md Yusoff, currently living in Melbourne, Australia. I started scrapbooking since 2009, and was hooked since! It is really a great hobby to splurge in. It can be pricey sometimes (most of the time) but the outcomes are just priceless. I love how I can cherished the memories and turn it into something beautiful. My DH, DS & DD are my inspiration. I love to play with colorful papers, especially bright ones and love all things nice like flowers, butterflies and bling- bling. Please welcome our June Guest Designer Mia:-

I am Mia Montalvan-Castrillo from the Philippines. I have been married for 11 years to my college sweetheart and have 4 princesses ages 9, 7, 3 and 8 months. I am the manager of our family household and a contributing writer to a local newspaper in our city. In between cooking, writing, taking my girls to school and generally taking care of our household, I scrap. And I'm pretty addicted to it. :-)

I started fixing my pictures when I was in high school but got really serious into it in 2004 after the birth of my 2nd daughter. I lean towards clean and simple scrapping with strong journaling. I scrap as a way of communicating to my loved ones. Nothing is more fulfilling than a hug and an appreciated word from a loved one who has just read my layout's journaling. Scrapping is my form of relaxation after a busy day. I love the creative process --- choosing papers, looking for the right embellishments, thinking of my journaling. I am SOO addicted that I think of journaling and layouts in the shower, while breastfeeding, before sleeping, while changing diapers, while cooking, and in almost every spare time I have. I scrapbook because it is how I am able to express my love for my husband and children. I scrapbook because I am a storyteller and I love telling the stories of my children.

Photo Canvas

I have been looking to buy a photo canvas for so long, so after re-decorating my bedroom I thought I would treat myself.

After looking around I found a fantastic site called ‘Bags of Love’ they specialise in personalised gifts everything from personalised cards to photo canvas to floor cushions.

So I placed my order on a Friday night at 5pm and had my canvas in my hand by 8am Tuesday. I quickly ripped open the parcel and was over the moon with the canvas. It is so gorgeous, the colours are so bright and the image so clear. Here it is:-

It now has pride of place on my bedroom wall, so I would highly recommend ‘bags of love’ to everyone.

Meet Our May Guest Designer Leonie....

Hi, i’m Leonie Neal-Dawson and I live in Geelong, Australia. Along with my Husband, Greg and our 4 children, Will (10), Andrew (8), Hamish (8), and Maggie (6).

Weekdays I’m a SAHM and weekends I work night shift at the local hospital.

I started Scrapbooking when I was pregnant with the twins in 2003 . And truly I love everything about this craft, preserving our family’s memories, the creative outlet for me, meeting fabulous like minded people and in the past year or so I’ve discovered the online world of scrapping , blog challenges, forums etc. I think just about every day will find me doing something scrap related, if it’s not actually scrapping then it’s being online, taking or editing photo’s or all of the above. J

I’m not sure that I have any particular style, I like to try different techniques and generally I like to use mist, paint and masks on my Layouts. Well at the moment anyway! I tend to often also add some doodling or inking/distressing to the edges of photo’s or paper on my layouts.

Anyway here is my sample using the gorgeous picture as inspiration. I was inspired by the pink, yellow and black in the picture and I also tried to mimick the shape of the girls head piece with the masked hearts. And the flowers I made using this online tutorial

Long time no see.....

Hi Everyone,

I'm back! Sorry I was gone so long, I've had some major computer and Internet problems which I've only just sorted out so I haven't been able to go online for a very long time.

When I was away I lost my scrapping mojo for awhile but I've starting making lay-outs again and managed to become a runner up in the Scrapbook magazine 'Scrapbooker of the year' competition which was a real confidence boost. So now I feel ready to start the blog again :)

This year there will be some changes, the challenges will be just for fun with no prizes as I was finding it really difficult to find sponsors in the current financial climate.The winner of the months challenge will still become a guest designer for the next months challenge. Also we will only have one challenge per month.

So now for the exciting bit I am looking for 8 people for the new design team for the next 6 months term starting Mar 1st - Sep 1st.

Here's a little about Anna:-

Hi! My name is Anna I am 22 and a Mummy to Jack aged 1 year. I live in Suffolk, UK with my partner Lee and Jack. I work part time in a Montessori nursery, which I enjoy doing, but my main passion is of course scrapping! I started scrapbooking originally when I was about 14, as my mum and godmother were both eager scrappers. I had a break from it during my GCSE's, Alevels and College Diploma. I got back into it about 3 years ago, shortly after I found out I was pregnant as I new I would want to scrap my pregnancy and of course my baby boy. I found this challenge exciting as I could try some materials from Nikki - and they are not so easy to find in Brazil.(Unfortunately!). I used Nikkis great paper with colorful trees as basis for my picture.I love this type of challenges as we look at the list and think: OMG...how can I use everything together lol. And in the end, we are always positively surprised with the final layout. 'When Ive got the challenge I liked a lot, mostly because Spring is my favorite season...but is still too far to happen.
Here it starts on Sept 23rd only ;)

Hi, I'm Julie, I live in Blakeney in Gloucestershire with my husband Jason, together we have a gorgeous little boy - Harrison who's 3 and we are expecting our second little one mid May. Krissy:- I live in a suburb of Houston, Texas and am married to my best friend Randy McKee. Together, we have a blended family of six children ranging in age from adult to 9 years old, so I ALWAYS have material to scrap! I worked as a litigation paralegal for over 13 years but chose to quit last year so I could stay at home and spend time with my youngest daughter.

I first began scrapbooking April 2009 and it has quickly become an obsession. My children are always making fun of me or rolling their eyes at me because I take my camera everywhere and can often be heard saying, “Let me get just one more picture!” I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and tools and love nothing more than a good challenge. I am absolutely passionate about this wonderful form of self-expression, and I want to share and fuel that passion in others!

Claire:-I’m Claire from Kent in the UK, married to Gary, we have gorgeous twin daughters Madison & Tiegan who are now four.
I’ve been scrapping for a little over a year and am a complete and utter stashaholic! My passion for scrapping gives me the opportunity to play with beautiful papers, inks and pens as well as enjoy photographs of my little girls and the places we’ve been. Its also an outlet for my feelings about my family and about life in general; very therapeutic, especially with a glass of wine or large bar of chocolate!!!!
My favourite manufacturers have to be prima, sassafrass and Crate, my style tends to be quite grungy but very girly!

I’m so excited to be on the DT for Butterfly Crafts & look forward to some fun challenges ahead!!!

Fabi:- Im Fabi, brazilian, turning 35 this Thursday, Feb 25th. I live with Francis for almost 5 years now (its our both 2nd marriage), together we've had Pedro - 4 years old, my major inspiration. We have a girl too, 13 yo, Patricia, from his 1st marriage.
I work as a sales manager Americas for a biotech company called Novozymes - yes, lots of travel and this has nothing to do with scrapbooking lol.But it was due to my work and trips that I've 1st knew scrapbooking, in US.
I felt in love but really started to dig into it only when my little prince, Pedro (4 yo) was 1 yo.
In 2008 I've joined several forums, took classes and started to take it more seriously.
Last year was a great scrappin' year. 2009 was when I was first published in local magazines, gave classes and joinned my first DT's and our local crop group.
I love challenges and to know different cultures and make new friends. Looking forward to have fun with you all!

Lisa:-My name is Lisa, I'm 34 and live in the UK with my hubby and 2 kiddies.I work for myself from home which fits in perfect with the family and my scrapping too : )I love getting messy fingers using paints, glimmer mists, glitter etc.... and love telling stories with my scrapbooking and then watching my kids browse through our many scrapbooks and mini books at all our memories and fun things we do.I also love to read, cook and bake. I guess I am a homely person, but love to 'holiday' too.

Louise:- My name is Louise, I live in gorgeous New Zealand. I am a stay at home mum to my 3 beautiful children who I love to take photos of and do layouts on. My family and I live on a very small farm where we have some sheep and cattle. I have been scrapbooking since 2005 when I had my first child. I would say my style is pretty clean and crisp although I love to experiment with different techniques. My pages normally don't take a huge amount of time as I am so limited in the time I get to spend doing papercrafts. I also enjoy stamping, cardmaking and beading.

Hayati:- Hello! I am Norhayati, from Singapore. I’m married with 2 beautiful daughters; a 3 year old and 1.5 year old who had been the main subjects of my pages.
I started dabbling with scrapbooking in 2006. Only in 2007, when I had my first daughter, did I become obsessed with scrapbooking. I wanted to record, capture and preserve all the precious memories of our life together… our journey…. the ups and downs.
My style of scrapbooking usually depends on the photos that I wanted to scrap. What kind of feeling/story I wanted to portray through my layouts.

Twistedsoda:- My name is Michelle and I live in the far north of Alberta. I have been creating with paper and paint for about 10 years now and it is quite surprising how much my style has changed through the years. I tend to scrap in many styles, collage, linear and eclectic style. I love all of the retro patterns out there! I tend to mix many medias when it comes to scrapping. Acrylics, dyes and inks, sparkle and glitter. I love to incorporate 'art' with my photography. My most favorite thing to use is black cardstock. My family consists of many musicians, music runs in my soul and what better way to create than to have a live band playing in the background.

Sandie:-Hi! My name is Sandie, and I've been scrapbooking now since July 2005. I've 3 children and have been married to Rich for just over 13 years. I love patterned papers with a passion, and would have more if I could! I currently work as a freelance Scrapbook Teacher, and teach locally at a shop called Sparkle Dreams and also co-run a crop which I teach at too.

Chiqui:- I am Chiqui Gutierrez from the tropical islands of the Philippines. I’m in my thirties, and been married to my hubby Herbert for almost 8 years. We have 2 adorable daughters, Julia Francesca is 7 and Anneliese is 3 years old. I am a Pediatrician by profession, and a certified scrapaholic for almost 3 years now. I admit I’m addicted to this wonderful hobby! I love how the layouts tell the story behind the picture. I still consider myself a newbie in the scrapbooking world so I guess I’m still discovering my style. I tend to experiment with different techniques but handcutting, layering, & distressing are some of my favorites. Most of my layouts come out clean and simple but I also like the shabby-chic look. I am really thrilled and honored to be part of the design team of Butterfly Crafts. I hope I’ll be able to inspire you as much as others have inspired me.

Andie:- My name is Andie and I live in good 'ole USofA. In Kentucky to be exact. I am 26 years old, and I'm a graphic designer by profession. I work for a NBC (television) affiliate in Louisville. I studied visual communication design at Purdue University for 4 years. I live in a cute little country house with my boyfriend, Michael and our border collie, Rocket. We also have some outside cats, but they come and go often. Oh, and one fish named Rosie. I've been artistic since as long as I can remember. I literally had a crib at my mom's ceramic and craft store that she used to own. She is so creative, and so is my grandmother, so that is where it comes from...Lucky me! When I was in high school, a scrapbook store opened in my hometown and I was hooked. One foot inside that place and I was lost for hours! Of course, my style has really evolved and matured since those days, as it does with everyone I suppose. I really love scrapbooking, although I prefer to keep my pages out loose, like to put in a frame or clip up on a clipboard, instead of putting them into albums. However, at the same time I'm also a big fan of mini albums. I love making handmade cards and other little craft projects too. Here are some of my favorite things: owls, gnomes, little baby kittens, watching movies, exploring antique shops & of course anything vintage.I really enjoy reading as well. My fav color is green. But I'm becoming a fan of pink in a hurry! xoxo andie...

Bekka:- Hi! My name is Bekka. I'm a high school technology teacher from Kentucky. I've been scrapbooking since I got married in 2004 -- oddly enough, I haven't gotten around to scrapping those wedding photos! I developed a love for photography when I was in college, and scrapbooking has become an extension of that -- because it's fun to create pretty places for my photos. I love scrapbooking, not only for the creative release, but also for the amazing friendships I've made through this hobby. KarenW:- Hi, My name is Karen and I have lived in Canberra, Australia for the past 18 years. I have tried most crafts, with sewing and scrapping my main two loves.I have three children, Matt 17, Meaghan 13 and Henry 7. Wonderful to have built in babysitters! I am lucky to be in the postion to be able to stay at home to look after the kids and indulge my crafts especially now that they are all at school - gotta love that. My very lovely DH is an IT contracter and spends all spare moments mountain biking.I have been scrappping for about 5 years but only seriously addicted for the past 18 months. I was considering giving up traditional scrapping for pure digi scrapping but love getting messy too much so have swung back the other way and spend a lot of time with sticky fingers and mist everywhere! I have been published a couple of times in our local scrapbooking magazine but this is my first design team and I am beside my self with excitment. I love the way this craft has exploded with the internet and so many wonderful blogs to look at and interact with. Can't wait to get started!

Emma:- I'm a 34 year old mother of 2, a boy and a girl and also we have a dog who is often the subject of my Layouts as he is so relaxed and eager to pose for the camera! I've been scrapping a little over a year and I am a serious paper addict, Embellishments I can live without but paper is a must, its so versatile and I enjoy making my own embellishments from it. I do something creative most days, even if its just browsing the net for inspiration. I love sketches and challenge websites and I can't wait to start on the Design Team here!

Hannah:- Hi, my name is Hannah, I live in North London with my lovely hubby, who's a paramedic. I love Jesus, my husband, working with Kids and being creative. I started scrapbooking in 2007 and my obsession has grown and grown. I love working with fabric and buttons and enjoy making minialbums too. I scrapbook to celebrate all the good things in life and reflect on it's challenges. I'm not very good at remembering things so making layouts is also great for preserving the memories of things I'd otherwise forget! My husband is also a photographer so he provides much excellent material for my scrapping!! I'm so excited about this season on the Butterfly Crafts design team, thanks for having me!

Beki:-I am 25 and have been scrapping for almost 5 years. I'm hoping to train to be a Teacher next year but at the moment am making the most of having lots of time to scrap. I love to be as experimental as I can, trying everything once and always trying to improve my layouts. I love bright and busy layouts but try to be as versatile as possible and use whatever suits the photo best. I love to scrap about my family and friends, and I try to make my titles and journalling reflect myself and my sense of humour as much as possible. I'm really looking forward to being part of the Butterfly Crafts team and can't wait to get stuck in!

Nat:- My name is Natalie, please call me Nat. I fell in love with scrapbooking at the start of 2009 (although i had dabbled in it since 2008) when i discovered everything! Amazing papers, yummy cardstock, AC Thickers, glitter, Bling and glimmer mists!! I discovered that paper stroking and sniffing in the scrapping world is normal and that to hoarde vast quantities of "stash" in a "scrap room" is perfectly acceptable. I was born in Scotland, moved to England in 2005, work as a Chemistry Teacher, have one son and a very supportive partner.My inspiration for everything scrapbook related is my nearly 4 year old son. I have set myself a challenge to create and document every year of Tom's life and so far i have almost managed two years.I am incredibly excited to be part of this talented team, so thank you and bring on the challenges!!

Butterfly Crafts DT Call:

Butterfly crafts challenge blog (Butterfly-crafts.blogspot.com) are looking for new design team members for our spring term (March 1st – June 30th 2010).

Challenges are set every 2 weeks and the DT will be split into 2 teams and expected to complete 1 layout every 4 weeks. For this term Team 1 will be using visual challenges e.g. Sketches, Ad inspiration etc. Team 2 will be using written challenges e.g. Using a given topic, song lyrics etc. Please indicate on your application e-mail which team you would prefer or if you don’t mind – Thank you. (Please note - The blog and forum are just for fun and inspiration so I will not be able to offer any prizes of freebies for the DT)

DT Duties:

· Create one layout every 4 weeks
· Make sure lay-outs are completed and sent in on time

Meet Our Jan Guest Designer - Audrey

Hi, I’m Audrey from the UK. When I became a SAHM after the birth of my second child, I initially took up cardmaking but later proceeded to scrapbooking. That was in Autumn 2004. After 5 years, this hobby is still going strong and I’m very passionate about it. My two boys provide the main inspiration for my creative works. This hobby has also led me to take further interest in photography so as to be able to capture those memories as vividly as we experience it. Stamping is my forte and this is evident in my works. I love playing with stamps so much so that I even sell them to supplement my stamping habit. More of my works can be seen on my blog (http://www.organisedmess.blogspot.com/). Meet our December GD - Jody

Here's a little bit about Jody:

I first started scrapbooking in the summer of 2006 and submitted my first-ever scrapped (20 layouts) to Creating Keepsake's Scrapbooker of the Year Contest. I ended up being among the top 10 finalists and from there found out just how big the scrap industry really is!
I have been a Fashionista with Scrap In Style TV since it's inception in May 2007.
I scrap a variety of topics and projects and especially love taking pictures of my kids doing everyday things. I have 6 children- my oldest died at age 4 in a tragic incident and my other five range in ages from 14 months to 10 years old. they keep me very busy!
I enjoy blogging, baking, being a stay-at-home mom and find lots of inspiration on the internet.
My husband is a golf club manager in Michigan and one day I hope he moves us to a warmer state. =)

My name is Emma and i've been scrapping for about a year, but its been since March that its become a bit of an obsession! I have 2 children I adore, a dog I love and a cat who hates me (its ok, I hate her too!!) I was a card maker previously, but that doesn't get a look in now. My scrapping style is quite clean and simple, I love white space and I would rather use patterened paper than any other supply, I adore pages that are full of embellishments and busy, but I can't seem to replicate it myself! My children and Bruno (the dog) are the main focus of my scrapbooking, I think everyone is getting a bit sick of me sticking a camera in their faces to get a scrapworthy pic, but they tolerate it quite well!

Eversince I was young, I never imagined myself having a child of my own. I am just too scared of all the responsibility. I am very attached to everybody and get easily jealous if the attention was taken away from me. I just didn't think that I am the mother type. My husband was aware of it.But then last April 19, 2008, a miraculous thing happened, I gave birth to my lovely daughter Hannah Dominique. I did not touch her for 2 days, too scared, too confused but when I finally got to hold her, I cried. I have never felt that joy before. I was so happy, so contented. And from that day on, I have never loved anyone more I love to my daughter. I will do everything for her. I am her MOTHER.

I live in the scrappy state of Utah (a very talented state, might I add). I love the outdoors and spending time camping with my family. Beki: I am 25 and have been scrapping for almost 5 years. I'm hoping to train to be a Teacher next year but at the moment am making the most of having lots of time to scrap. I've been paper scrapping since 1999 and dabbled in digital scrapbooking in 2006. I would flip around between the two types of scrapping but currently, I digi-scrap more since
I scrap my friends and family members especially my nephew, JJJr. I hoard pattern papers and enjoy playing with anything embellishment.
My scrap style is more of a fully embellished look with stitches and pattern papers but do go occasionally minimalist, whether it be paper or digi-scrapping.

Kelly: Hello! I'm Kelly and I am 31 years old. I live in Liverpool, England although I am orginally from South London. I am a stay at home mum to 2 beautiful children. I had to give up work after having my first child, and as a way to fill time I started making my own greeting cards. I then saw an article on Scrapbooking in a craft magazine four years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I don't think I have a certain style of Scrapbooking, just a whole heap of randomness with how I feel on the day! I mostly scrap about my kids but I am really starting to discover scrapping myself... Eeeek! I am addicited to pretty paper which I hoard and mostly cannot bear to cut! I also enjoy knitting, sewing, making cards and playing silly games with my kids. My favourite colour is green and I have a very eclectic taste in music!! I am so honoured to have been asked to join the Butterfly Crafts Design Team!!! I am really excited to be working with some very taleted ladies!!!!

Laurel: I am married with 2 girls ages 14 and 11. I teach grade 1 full time and my hobbies are paper crafting (especially card making and scrapping), photography, blogging and painting. Although the job and family life keeps me busy I try to make time for myself daily by going for a run and of course playing in my craft room.
I have recently been published in Cards magazine, have been Guest Designer for Inspirational Card Sketches and am currently on the Design Team for Card Patterns, Get Sketchy, The Scrappiest and Practical Scrappers. My passion right now is anything using paper. My girls are the inspiration for my scrapping but I tend to do more card making as I love how quick, easy and satisfying they are... not to mention I am addicted to Challenges!!!
I have now taken the plunge and tried my hand at making mini albums, I can see myself making more!

Karen (Me): Hi My name is Karen Watson, I have been running Butterfly crafts since December 08. I am 28yrs old from Essex in England. I have been married to Martin since September 2005. I am currently a housewife.

Brenda:I am a lover of all things paper crafting. I got into scrapbooking about 9-10 years ago, soon after the birth of my first child. It became an obsession a few years later when I discovered a scrapbook store close by the new home we had just moved into. My first love is scrapbooking, but I also love to make cards, gifts, and home décor items with my scrapbook supplies. So much versatility in this craft is what keeps me from getting bored. It’s like a million crafts all rolled into one. I can paint, sew, draw, stamp, etc. etc. if I want to. It’s all fair game!
My husband, Eric, and I have been married for 13 years and we have three kids ages 10, 8, and 4. My kids are most often the subject of my pages although I have begun scrapbooking more about myself and have begun an album about my husband and me.
I don’t have a particular style of scrapbooking. I think I am ever growing and changing, still finding my own unique style. I love a good challenge and love working with sketches. They are a great starting point for any page. Sometimes I stray a lot from a sketch, but at least it got me going in the right direction.
I am so excited to be working with the Butterfly Crafts team.

Here is a photo of my two boys at the beach this past summer. We normally take a family vacation to either Whistler or Victoria in the spring but this year, with my oldest son heading to Kindergarden, we decided to take our little vaca. in the summer. I'm happy together with Richard and our two cats Mees&Guusje....
I work with mentally-disabled people and I love my job!
I love to play with my photocamera and for 2 years I'm scrap-addicted too....
and I can't get enough of all those sweet and colorful papers and embellishments....
When I'm in a scrapstore (or webshop) I feel like a little girl in a sweet-shop:):)
My fave items to scrap about are my furry-friends and my niece and nephew....
I love to use alot of colors and PINK is my fave....
I think I don't have a specific style, I like to try different things on my scraps. But on almost every layout I use my sewmachine or I handstitch....
I also love to make my own embellishments...with felt and Fimo-clay...

You dance like crazy when it comes on... you even ask daddy to sing his own version every night... but you will always be my baby :)

One of fave songs is Jamroqui Canned Heat. Just hearing the song instantly puts a smile on my face!! LOVE IT!! I used some scraps from my scrap bag - Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket and American Crafts.

journaling: When you came home from the hospital and cried I would carry you in my arms and sing to you. Your favorite song was 1 2 3 4 (I love you) by the Plain White T's. When it came on and I started singing you would stop crying. I think of holding you in my arms and how little you were every time I hear that song.

This page started with the photo first and the new papers from Kaiser Craft was perfect in the colors. Then what better title than "This Kiss" from Faith Hill. The journaling is the chorus that repeats throughout the song. TFL!

Challenges are set every 2 weeks and the DT will be split into 2 teams and expected to complete 1 layout every 4 weeks. (Please note - The blog and forum are just for fun and inspiration so I will not be able to offer any prizes of freebies for the DT)

DT Duties:

· Create one layout every 4 weeks
· Make sure lay-outs are completed and sent in on time
· During your DT term you will be able to volunteer to submit a project, tutorial or challenge for our forum.
· Post and chat on our forum, comment on our gallery and participate in on-line crops. (Please note - I understand people’s time constrains so there is no pressure, you can chat as often or as little as you feel is right for you.)
· Promote ‘Butterfly Crafts’ where ever you can including on your personal Blogs

Hidden Journaling is on the piece of Jenni Bowlin journaling card which I had cut out so that it can be 'clipped' onto the photo. It says:My best friend has got to be the father of my kids. I remember how he would stand by me when I had girlfriends’ issues, how he would just give me his support blindly (despite his own reservations), how he would travel to NTU to visit and stay over when I was mugging for exams. He always brought me whatever I loved/ wanted to eat. He reads me like a book, gave me 2 beautiful kids, is tolerant of my nagging and my obsession with cleanliness, supports me in bible lessons and prayers (despite his reluctance- am still praying for his salvation) and works hard to feed and provide for our family after supporting my decision to resign. He tries hard to help out with the kids even though I sometimes disapprove of his methods. That’s why he’s my children’s father, my husband, my pillar and my best friend. Hi! My name is Lisa and I am a 40-(shhhhh) recent empty-nester. At least I was as of last August. This summer, my son, who is a college graduate, has returned home for a brief stay and my daughter is home on summer break. I thought I would never adjust to living alone, but that adjustment was much easier than re-adjusting to sharing the house again! LOL! I have been addicted to all things crafty for as long as I can remember. Roughly 15 years ago, I came across my first "real" scrapbook at a craft fair in a local mall. I looked at my sister-in-law and stated then and there that I would forever be a scrapper. Several Creative Memories albums later and a multitude of attempts to find "my style" leads me to where I am today. A scrapper without a specific style. A girl loving the craft for the all that it offers...perservation of memories, a creative outlet and an open door to making new friends. Thanks so much for the opportunity to share a little bit of me.

Hidden Journaling says: You have to hug your bolster with you since you were 8 months old. When you will younger, you will kick up a fuss and throw a tantrum if you can't have your bolster when you were sleepy. I had to buy a few spares just in case you threw up or dirtied them, but all you actually cared about was the feel of twilring the small label on the side of the bolster cover when you needed to fall asleep!

Journalling reads: I ike all kinds of food and am willing to try anything once. I do have some quirky tastes however and I can be quite fussy too. For example - I never eat the crusts on the bread when I eat a sandwich but I do when I eat toast. I loved baked beans and I love gravy but cannot bear the two together. Califlower cheese is yummy but I cannot have it on my plate with any other food. I cant stand the sauce on baked beans either so drain this when putting them on my plate.I like butter and I like jam but I cannot eat them together. Curry is delicious as is rice but I cant have the two touching each other on my plate - if it was pasta with a sauce however - well then that is absolutely fine! I am not keen on mushrooms or peas - although I do enjoy mushy peas and I detest with a passion - chilli con carnewhen it is served with a jacket potatoe or rice! I cant stand the texture. I wouldnt say I was a fussy eater persey!! Just particular about certain things I eat together! :)

Ok, so here is the truth, some corky things about me. Some things I keep to myself, some things people already know. I usually keep a chocolate stash somewhere in my scrapbook reoom, I rotate my underware so that it gets worn evenly, I love Diet Pepsi (no secret there), I can't stand finger prints on my stainless steel refrigerator, my feet have to be clean when I get into bed, I spray my dog with cologne spray if he starts to stink, oh yeah, I am truly a brown head, not red head. So, the secrets are out. Some say it is obsessive compulsive, but these are just some of the things that make me, me!

"Hi everyone, my name is Claire! I live in South Wales, UK and I'll be 26 this month. Since childhood I have always collected (a.k.a. hoarded!) tickets, postcards and souvenirs from places I've been, but only joined the world of scrapbooking in early 2008 as a way to make some use of these collections (hoardings). Since then I've been hooked, and I have a particular weakness for patterned paper and alphabets. I mainly scrap for my own enjoyment of it, and I love a good scrapping challenge. I was thrilled to pick this challenge and came with the idea when I was applying for the DT. I couldn't believe how scared I was when I thought I saw a real spider on this glass a while back. (And it's a cartoon spider too...how sad is that?) My reaction made me feel like a kid again. I guess some childhood fear we can't shake no matter how old we are! Thanks for looking!

When I was young, my mum always told me how the witch in Snow White's story would get me and cut off my tongue if I lied. It struck a fear in me and lingered on, even when I knew much later that it was a fairytale only. Whenever I am reminded of the witches in some way, I will shudder. So of course, I did not enjoy my ride at Disneyland through Snow White's World

This layout is all about my fear of my bedroom curtains when I was about 2 years old. I loved those curtains, they had the little fred basset cartoon character on them. During the day brilliant, when it got to nighttime though they scared me half to death on occassions! I always thought the little dogs would jump off the curtain and nibble my toes in the night! I was convinced they were staring at me and their eyes followed me around the room! Good job I can laugh about it now and wasnt scared for life.

This has been a True Fear of mine since I was a small child!!! My Dad did take me on the Ferris Wheel and I was so very firghtened that I thought I was going to be sick!!! I tried to get on the Ferris Wheel with my daughter when she was child and the same thing happened.....so to this day I cannot get on this beautiful ride!!!!

A funny childhood fear of mine was of my curtains/bed set that my mom had in my room when I was little. The background was brown and the pattern was just the head of the monkey all over. They're weren't cute monkeys, they were so scary looking LOL I didn't have a picture of the curtains, so I decided to do a "pop art" chimp photo. I chose Daisy D Bambino papers cause they're just so cute.

When I was a little girl I was afraid of mirrors. Yup! Mirrors!! It all started after watching movies like "Poltergeist" and "Candy Man". I couldn't help but get the chills whenever I came across a mirror. Vicki - Assistant DT Coordinator: Hello! I’m Victoria Murray, although no one ever calls me Victoria (except my Mom, when I was four and in trouble!)…so call me Vicki, please! I’ve always been a creative person; I even had my own jewellery studio until my daughter was born. I’ve recently started working part time a jewellery boutique. I live in Toronto with my husband, five year old daughter and our guinea pig.I discovered scrapbooking almost four years ago at a home party and it felt like a match made in heaven. Scrapbooking is now my passion and my family is my inspiration. I love experimenting with new techniques and ideas. I work in traditional, digital and hybrid methods. I've been lucky enough to have been published a few times and have made some great friends, all thanks to this hobby. I’m so excited to be on the design team here!

Adeline: I am Singaporean and a stay home mum to 2 beautiful ‘monsters’. I had resigned from my job when I was expecting baby number 2 so that I can be with my kids through their early growing years and I have not regretted my decision. Shortly after our second child was born in 2006, my husband was posted to work in Shanghai and we re-located with him.
I have always had a strong interest in scrapbooking but I started the hobby seriously when we moved to Shanghai. I needed something to keep myself occupied and distracted from the frustrations of adjusting to an entirely new culture. It has been very therapeutic for me and now I am happily scrappin’ whenever I have some free time from the kids. I usually scrap in the nights and despite the tiredness of chasing after 2 very active kids, I actually find much inspiration in these wee hours. I do not have a fixed style of scrappin’, but I like the distressed look a lot and tend to incorporate that into my layout. I have been scrapbooking for 1.5 years now but am still exploring and learning new techniques all the time!
We visit Singapore regularly where I get to restock on my supplies and now we are planning to re-locate back home for good as we hope to let the children pursue their primary education back home.

Georgina: Hi, my name is Georgina and I'm 29 years old. I live in Surrey in England and have been scrapping since about 2005. I stumbled upon it one day when I saw it on an American TV show and being curious I surfed the net to see what I could find out. Thats when I discovered a whole new world - the wonderful world of scrapbooking. I just love looking at other peoples photos and hearing the stories behind them on layouts that have been lovingly slaved over. I have always loved taking photos and creating things from paper and putting the two together seemed like a natural progression. During the day I work in the insurance claims industry as a technical expert and in the evenings I teach line dancing a couple of nights a week - thats another of my passions! I am so excited to be invited to join the Butterfly Crafts DT and am looking forward to future challenges.

Guiseppa: Hi! I am Guiseppa. I am a 33 year old Mom of three and have been married to the man of my dreams for almost 12 years. I live in the scrappy state of Utah (a very talented state, might I add). I love the outdoors and spending time camping with my family. I have been scrapbooking for over 13 years and in that time have created over 60 albums. So, I guess you could say that I am obsessed! I have recently taken an interest in publishing my work and have had some success. Becoming a member of a design team was on my list for my next adventure! Jocelyn: I am married to a wonderful man who supports me in every endeavour of my life!!!! I have a daughter and son in law who have given me the most wonderful gift..... two Grandsons!!! Evan Matthew is 6 years old and Gavin Joseph is 20 months old!!! These two boys are my inspiration to scrapbook!!! I started this wonderful craft when Evan was born, and I have never looked back!!!
Paper Crafting is so very rewarding!!! When I enter my scrapbook room, the world goes away, and I can take time to sort through photos, create pages, bring back memories, make a card for a friend and alter anything that I can get my little hands on!!! It brings a smile to my face and a sense of accomplishment!!!!
I have met so many wonderful friends through this craft!!!! I have several very close friends that I meet with once a month to socialize and create together. I cannot tell you how many wonderful friends I have met through my Blog!!!! Some of us call one another once a week, just to check in and see how life is going!!! I plan on making some trips to visit them and they to visit me!!!!
I am so excited about this endeavour. I look forward to working with the team and meeting all of you!!!! This is such an honour and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Leanne L: My name is Leanne and I live on the beautiful Gold Coast in sunny Queensland (Australia). I am married to my best friend Stuart and we have been married for 14 years. We’ve been blessed with three children, Mishae 21yrs, Jacob 11yrs (who is obsessed with pulling electrical items apart!!) and Emma 9 yrs (going on 18). We all enjoy spending our spare time camping and 4 Wheel Driving or just having fun. I have been scrapbooking now for a period of about 5 years. My styles have changed considerably over that time but generally I would say that I tend to lean more towards classical, straight lines. I love that I am recording my thoughts for my children to read and share with their families long after I have gone. I am lucky enough to have children who love to be in front of the camera so am never short of a subject to photograph.

Lou: 'Hi, I am Lou. I am a twenty something, married with 2 gorgeous little ones and 2 older stepkids.I started Scrapbooking in October 2008 after reading a scrapping magazine on holiday when the local shop had no card-making mags available. I have since progressed to trying to scrap every day, and 99% of my pages are about my children! My style has been changing and developing as I am still finding my own personal style, but at the moment I love clean lines and bold colours. I seem to be very drawn to cute animal embellies too!?!I am thrilled to be accepted as part of the Butterfly Crafts DT, and along with this I am part of JAD's Team, the Inspirational Team, and Scrappers Block Challenge Blog.I have had a few pages featured in Readers Galleries, and more recently have done quite a few pieces of paid work for UK magazines. Marlene: Hello, I’m Marlene. I have two awesome boys and I work full time. I really got into scrapping a little over two years ago and I absolutely love it. I also love altering items, working on my art journal, doodling and drawing, anything crafty and artsy! I love being creative and making things that are pretty to look at. I’m also a scrapbook supply addict LOL I really like checking out fellow scrappers blogs, there is so much great work and inspiration out there. I’m always working on my never ending pile of old pictures and I love to scrap everyday moments also. Happy scrapping!

Sandra: I am a mum of 2 kids (aged 5 and 3) and live in Brisbane, Australia. With my corporate life in on-hold since having kids (and maybe even permanently J) I discovered scrapping at the beginning of 2008, and haven’t looked back. I also love to make cards and OTPs (albums as well as making things from scratch). As I find myself loving scrapping more and more, I don’t think I’ve got time to go back to work – he,he,he!!).
Aside from my love of scrapbooking, I also enjoy making beaded jewellery, learning languages (Italian and German presently), travelling (need more time and money though – LOL – don’t we all??), crosswords and Sudoku, and going to the beach, bushwalking and BBQs or picnics with my family.

Tara: I fell into scrapbooking last fall while trying to write & design a personalized book for my son's 4th birthday gift. After visiting my first real scrapbooking store I was in awe and completely overwhelmed with the amount of different papers, embellishments and products to choose from. I completed my first layout in November of 2008 and have been addicted ever since. I would describe my current design style as rustic-grunge with earthy colours that pop. I love my edge distresser - maybe a little too much! I am inspired by wonderful photos (of my kids mostly) and awesome paper. I am honoured to be working on the Design Team for Scrapbook Star beginning in July 2009. I have been fortunate enough to have several of my layouts published as well as having my blog featured as well. Frances: Hello my name is Frances Sylvia and I am from Natchitoches, Louisiana. I am a lucky wife of 8 years, mother of 4, Junior High English teacher, and a totally addicted scrapbooker. I have been scrapbooking since high school, but became serious after my 1st child was born. Twenty-five scrapbooks later, it is not just a hobby, but a way for me to stay sane.
My greatest inspiration comes from my family and friends in the photos, but I am also inspired by sketches, challenges, patterned paper, and what I bought that week from the scrapbook store. I truly believe that I do not have a set style, yet there are some elements I can not leave off a layout these days, such as, hand stitching, distressing, inking, and layering…and more layering. Since my time is mostly devoted to being a wife and mother, I believe that scrapbooking should be FUN!! Jodi:My name is Jodi Wilton, and I live in Welland, Ontario, Canada. I have been married to my husband for 5 years, and have two wonderful kids (my main scrappy subjects!). I have the pleasure of running my own daycare from my home, and have been doing this for over 2 years. Some of my favorite things to do is scrapbooking (of course!), going to the movies, and when time and energy permits- going to the gym!
I first got interested in scrapping when I worked on a cruise ship. I wanted a way to document my travels, and the millions of photos that I was taking! I didn’t become a serious scrapper though, until my sister passed away tragically in a car accident. I wanted to create an album for me and my kids to remember her by. From that point on, I have been scrapping every moment I can get!

Krista: My name is Krista Hanna and I am a work at home mom who loves to scrap! My husband and I have two children who are my ultimate scrapbook inspiration. During the day I provide childcare in my home- and at night I sneak away to my craft room to create! I have always been crafty and I am always looking for new fun things to try. Louise: I'm Louise I'm 29 from County Durham and live with my scooter mad fiance and my 2 children Dylan5 and Eve 2. I'm currently a SAHM which allows me plenty of time to scrap. When Im not scrapping Im usually outdoors with the kids geo caching and at night going to scooter rallies or northern soul nights(when I can get a babysitter) My scrapbooking style is varied I like to learn new techniques and love anything bright hence my slight obbsession with sasafrass.

Maria: My name is Maria I'm a military wife with 8 children, two naughty dogs who have way too many issues and I am a mad hat scrapper, I've been scrapping for about three years now.I have to say that scrapping has become an addiction for me, it also keeps me sane but has also introduced me to some amazing online friends and scrapper's In the last year I have evolved kind of like a butterfly and I really enjoy experimenting with different elements, I do have a thing for vintage and distressed looking layouts but I enjoy the challenge of being challenged and like to try something new, especially learning new techniques..I look forward to being part of the design team here at Butterfly Crafts and getting to know you all..

Sarah: Hi, My name is Sarah. I am from Chicago, Illinois USA and have been scrapbooking for the last seven years. I have been married to my DH Ron for 4 years and we have a five month old daughter Frances who was born last Christmas. I love scrapbooking Frances and she is the subject of most of my layouts. I love learning new techniques and trying new things on my LOs, but I try to keep things simple because I don't have the time to spend hours on one page with a five month old! Besides scrapbooking I love spending time with my family, running, cooking and being outdoors. I am so thrilled to be part of the Butterfly Crafts design team and can't wait to be inspired by all the talent here!

Tina: My name is Tina Guigui and I am a graphic artist/designer. I am a mother to a son who turns 20 this month and a stepmother to 3 children ages 16, 13 & 9. Needless to say life can get very busy but that didn't stop me from finding out I have a passion for scrapbooking. Last Sept. I decided I would finally try it out and I have never looked back. I love the feeling of cutting out my shapes with my hands and pasting. I work mostly on the computer so I am happy I found a way to use my hands and get more involved with my creations. I am really excited to be here and I look forward to the upcoming months and getting to know you all!
