Challenge 20....

Hi everyone, it's time for challenge 20, a big thank you to Vicki for coming up with this one...

For the next challenge we'd like you to do a layout about a summer family tradition. Could be something you do every year, something you just started this year or something you did when you were a kid and miss.

Please upload your LO's to our gallery, leave us a link in the comments or e-mail them to Butterflycrafts1@aol.com by 5th October (you have a little extra time this month as I will be on vacation) to be in with a chance of becoming our October guest designer and this month the winner will also receive a $30USD Gift Certificate from our September Sponsor Scrapmuse - A big thank you to Melissa for sponsoring us this month xx

Here's what our fantastic DT came up with:

Vicki

Every summer my little family has a mini vacation. This year was Niagara Falls. I made this album for my daughter to look at bedtime so she won't forget the fun we had!

Adeline

We miss our fun in the pool most whenever we are not in sunny Singapore! So once the weather gets warmer, or when we are back in Singapore, we will definitely visit the pool! Adah is absolutely a water babe and Asher is beginning to enjoy water play too. This summer, Adah started formal swimming classes and is absolutely delighted to find that she can swim on her own

Frances

Georgina

Our family tradition is to go to my brothers house for the first BBQ of each summer!!

Guiseppa

Every year we go to Goblin Valley to hike and explore . This has to be one of our favorite family traditons.

Jocelyn

One of our Summer Family Traditions is that we all attend the Maryland State Fair every year!!!! We so look forward to taking the time to enjoy a day with the family!!! The rides, the Midway, the food and of course a visit to see the cows and pigs are all wonderful memories being made!!!!!

Lou

Every summer we look forward to spending some quality family time in my Mums large garden.

Marlene

My favorite family tradition was when my parents would take us to the beach in New Jersey. It was just so much fun and I love this challenge because I got to relive all those happy memories!

Sandra

Tara

Here is a photo of my two boys at the beach this past summer. We normally take a family vacation to either Whistler or Victoria in the spring but this year, with my oldest son heading to Kindergarden, we decided to take our little vaca. in the summer. It doesn't matter what we're doing really, as long as we're together!

September Guest Designer - Mirjam

We don't have real summer fam. traditions, but my birthday is in the summer and we always celebrate it all together...at home or on our holiday destination. So when we were in an other country with my b-day I got toiletpaper-garlands and b-day gifts from that country:):)

We can't wait to see your creations....

Meet our September Guest Designer - Mirjam....

Hi! My name is Mirjam, 34 years old and from Holland....
I'm happy together with Richard and our two cats Mees&Guusje....
I work with mentally-disabled people and I love my job!
I love to play with my photocamera and for 2 years I'm scrap-addicted too....
and I can't get enough of all those sweet and colorful papers and embellishments....
When I'm in a scrapstore (or webshop) I feel like a little girl in a sweet-shop:):)
My fave items to scrap about are my furry-friends and my niece and nephew....
I love to use alot of colors and PINK is my fave....
I think I don't have a specific style, I like to try different things on my scraps. But on almost every layout I use my sewmachine or I handstitch....
I also love to make my own embellishments...with felt and Fimo-clay...
Thanks for this opportunity to tell a little about me!

Challenge 19....

It's time for challenge 19, so here is the challenge:

For the next challenge we want you to create a LO about your favourite song. Why is it your favourite? Does it bring back special memories?

Please upload your LO's to our gallery, leave us a link in the comments or e-mail them to Butterflycrafts1@aol.com by 5th October (you have a little extra time this month as I will be on vacation) to be in with a chance of becoming our October guest designer and this month the winner will also receive a $30USD Gift Certificate from our September Sponsor Scrapmuse - A big thank you to Melissa for sponsoring us this month xx

Here's what our fantastic DT came up with:
Karen (Me)

Jodi

I really don't have a favorite song... but my daughter does... so I did the challenge according to her favorite song :) Ever since the song "don't call me baby, anymore" came out... it has been your absolute favorite! You dance like crazy when it comes on... you even ask daddy to sing his own version every night... but you will always be my baby :)

Leanne I

One of fave songs is Jamroqui Canned Heat. Just hearing the song instantly puts a smile on my face!! LOVE IT!! I used some scraps from my scrap bag - Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket and American Crafts.

Louise

We went on holiday to haven this year and they had singalongs with Roary, the kids loved it and have been singing it non stop since.

Roberta

Sarah Eclavea

journaling: When you came home from the hospital and cried I would carry you in my arms and sing to you. Your favorite song was 1 2 3 4 (I love you) by the Plain White T's. When it came on and I started singing you would stop crying. I think of holding you in my arms and how little you were every time I hear that song.

Tina

This page started with the photo first and the new papers from Kaiser Craft was perfect in the colors. Then what better title than "This Kiss" from Faith Hill. The journaling is the chorus that repeats throughout the song. TFL!

We can't wait to see what you come up with....
