Meet our December GD - Jody

Here's a little bit about Jody:

I first started scrapbooking in the summer of 2006 and submitted my first-ever scrapped (20 layouts) to Creating Keepsake's Scrapbooker of the Year Contest. I ended up being among the top 10 finalists and from there found out just how big the scrap industry really is!
I have been a Fashionista with Scrap In Style TV since it's inception in May 2007.
I scrap a variety of topics and projects and especially love taking pictures of my kids doing everyday things. I have 6 children- my oldest died at age 4 in a tragic incident and my other five range in ages from 14 months to 10 years old. they keep me very busy!
I enjoy blogging, baking, being a stay-at-home mom and find lots of inspiration on the internet.
My husband is a golf club manager in Michigan and one day I hope he moves us to a warmer state. =)

Journaling reads - My beauty regiment leaves much to be desired. I know I should use all those beauty products faithfully every night, but by the time I go to bed I’m usually too exhausted to care

Fay

Journalling reads - 'I don't buy make-up very often and don't wear much on a daily basis, but every now and then I like to have a splurge. Lately it's all on Benefit!'

Kylie

Journaling reads - I am plain and simple but have a hectic life because of my children, so time is a factor...

Elina

I am an all natural girl without any beauty tips except having fun with myself!! lol

November GD - Emma

We can't wait to see your creations.....

Meet our November Guest Designer - Emma....

My name is Emma and i've been scrapping for about a year, but its been since March that its become a bit of an obsession! I have 2 children I adore, a dog I love and a cat who hates me (its ok, I hate her too!!) I was a card maker previously, but that doesn't get a look in now. My scrapping style is quite clean and simple, I love white space and I would rather use patterened paper than any other supply, I adore pages that are full of embellishments and busy, but I can't seem to replicate it myself! My children and Bruno (the dog) are the main focus of my scrapbooking, I think everyone is getting a bit sick of me sticking a camera in their faces to get a scrapworthy pic, but they tolerate it quite well!

Challenge 22...

Here is the challenge 22 topic:

If you could be any character in any TV show or film, who would you be and why? Would you choose someone who's character you relate to or someone who is a total opposite to yourself?

Please upload your LO's to our gallery, leave us a link in the comments or e-mail them to Butterflycrafts1@aol.com by 30th November to be in with a chance of becoming our December guest designer and this month the winner will also receive this Tango Kit from our November Sponsor Studio Calico - A big thank you to Studio Calico for sponsoring us this month xx

Here's what our fantastic DT came up with:

Karen (me)

Avina

Title: Just MeJournalling:I do love watching TV. But I've never wished to be someone I'm not. I've never wanted to be a TV character. Partly I feel they are imaginary and also I guess I'm happy being myself, accepting my life. I'm really happy being just me!

Jeune Girl (AKA Meghan)

Brenda

I would have to chose the the TV character of Dr. Temperence Brennan on the TV show Bones. I relate to her in so many ways. I included a lot of journaling comparing her character traits to mine. There's too much journaling to share here, but mostly I can relate to her "cluelessness", her literal way of thinking and not being so great at reading between the lines, etc.

Elina

Fay

Journalling reads: Like all of them I believe I am a kind and caring friend, loyal and honest. Like Lynette I try to keep all the balls in the air; like Bree a good organiser; like Susan a bit forgetful; like Gabi I love glamour!.

Kylie

I would be Tweety.....

He is a loveable character who is bright and colourful.....But also can be shy and sweet....This describes me to a tee !!!

Roberta
