Meet our October Guest Designer - LG
Challenge 21....
We all have a time in our life when we have had a moment that changed our life for the good or the bad. I want you to scrap that defining moment, a moment that changed your life. It could be the birth of a baby, when you met your significant other or a career change. Tell us about it. Help us to learn a little more about you!
I knew in that moment as I held you and watched you take your last breath of life, I knew that I needed to live my life in such a way that I would be worthy to see you again in the next life

The hidden journalling tag reads "I really enjoyed my four years as a student, along with my fun part time jobs, but graduation meant that I had to now go out into the real world. Although I didn't really have a clue what I wanted to do (and still don't really). But I do now have a good life with Gareth, a mortagage, a great hobby and a job I enjoy so I can't ask for much more really (except maybe a lottery win!)"

I used my Scrapshotz kit and the 52 Sketches along with the Butterfly Crafts challenge for this week.
Tamara
I decided to go with my uni graduation. It was a long road, which included me dropping out when I was almost finished, but in the end I got there.

October Guest Designer - LG
Eversince I was young, I never imagined myself having a child of my own. I am just too scared of all the responsibility. I am very attached to everybody and get easily jealous if the attention was taken away from me. I just didn't think that I am the mother type. My husband was aware of it.But then last April 19, 2008, a miraculous thing happened, I gave birth to my lovely daughter Hannah Dominique. I did not touch her for 2 days, too scared, too confused but when I finally got to hold her, I cried. I have never felt that joy before. I was so happy, so contented. And from that day on, I have never loved anyone more I love to my daughter. I will do everything for her. I am her MOTHER.
We can't wait to see your creations....

Meet the 15th of the month team.....
Guiseppa - Assistant DT Coordinator: Hi! I am Guiseppa. I am a 33 year old Mom of three and have been married to the man of my dreams for almost 12 years. I live in the scrappy state of Utah (a very talented state, might I add). I love the outdoors and spending time camping with my family. I have been scrapbooking for over 13 years and in that time have created over 60 albums. So, I guess you could say that I am obsessed! I have recently taken an interest in publishing my work and have had some success. Becoming a member of a design team was on my list for my next adventure! I am so excited to have this opportunity to inspire and created with my fellow scrappers. Happy scrapping everyone! http://guiseppagubler.blogspot.com/
Claire: Hi, my name is Claire, I'm 26 and I live in South Wales, UK with my other half Gareth. I work as a television subtitler, and my great shift pattern means I get lots of days off for my favourite hobby scrapbooking which I've been doing nearly 2 years now. I mainly scrap old family photos and memories, along with the more recent, and love a good challenge, an occasional sketch and new stash for inspiration. I also really love funny films, Ugly Betty and holidays abroad. I'm very excited to be a part of the design team at Butterfly Crafts! You can visit my blog at http://clairesmumblings.blogspot.com/.
Cheryl: Hi! My name is Cheryl. I'm 31 years old from Manila, Philippines. I'm happily married to Ed and is the mother to a little chihuahua named Chiquitta. I work in the financial industry as an auditor.
I've been paper scrapping since 1999 and dabbled in digital scrapbooking in 2006. I would flip around between the two types of scrapping but currently, I digi-scrap more since
I scrap my friends and family members especially my nephew, JJJr. I hoard pattern papers and enjoy playing with anything embellishment.
My scrap style is more of a fully embellished look with stitches and pattern papers but do go occasionally minimalist, whether it be paper or digi-scrapping.
Kelly: Hello! I'm Kelly and I am 31 years old. I live in Liverpool, England although I am orginally from South London. I am a stay at home mum to 2 beautiful children. I had to give up work after having my first child, and as a way to fill time I started making my own greeting cards. I then saw an article on Scrapbooking in a craft magazine four years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I don't think I have a certain style of Scrapbooking, just a whole heap of randomness with how I feel on the day! I mostly scrap about my kids but I am really starting to discover scrapping myself... Eeeek! I am addicited to pretty paper which I hoard and mostly cannot bear to cut! I also enjoy knitting, sewing, making cards and playing silly games with my kids. My favourite colour is green and I have a very eclectic taste in music!! I am so honoured to have been asked to join the Butterfly Crafts Design Team!!! I am really excited to be working with some very taleted ladies!!!!
I have recently been published in Cards magazine, have been Guest Designer for Inspirational Card Sketches and am currently on the Design Team for Card Patterns, Get Sketchy, The Scrappiest and Practical Scrappers. My passion right now is anything using paper. My girls are the inspiration for my scrapping but I tend to do more card making as I love how quick, easy and satisfying they are... not to mention I am addicted to Challenges!!!
I have now taken the plunge and tried my hand at making mini albums, I can see myself making more!
Did I say I LOVE paper crafting?
Tamara: My name is Tamara, and I live in Perth, Western Australia with my husband and our 2 ½ year old daughter (who is the main focus of my layouts). At the moment I am a stay at home mum, but I am also a qualified Marine Scientist. I have been scrapbooking for about 18 months now, and I love everything about it.
Meet our 1st of the month team.....
Karen (Me): Hi My name is Karen Watson, I have been running Butterfly crafts since December 08. I am 28yrs old from Essex in England. I have been married to Martin since September 2005. I am currently a housewife.
I am lucky enough to be a DT member at a great site called More than scrapbooking and recently had a lay-out published in a UK scrapping magazine.
I love to travel, read and watch way to many TV shows lol.
I look forward to working and getting to know the new DT and I thank everyone for supporting Butterfly Crafts over the last year xxx
Avina: Hi! I'm Avina from the sunny (but currently rainy) island city of Singapore where scrapbooking is a national hobby! I started scrapping to kill time after stumbling upon the LSS about 2 - 3 years ago and everything is now history! A definite addict! I love that it is a hobby that allows me to combine my creative side and the need to document my family (and my) life. It's been an honor to be asked to join the Butterfly Crafts team and I look forward to meeting all of you and being inspired by what you guys will do with the challenges!
Roberta: Konnichiwa! I'm Roberta, I'm 27 but I look like a 16 years old girl ;PI live in Italy with my lovely Boy Gianluca!I really love everything that comes from Japan and one of my dream is to visit it one day!I adore TATTOOS, I really think is an amazing ART!I'd like to learn more about photography, tattoos, scrapbooking and everything's artsy ^_*I am vegan 'cause i love animals. I live into a magical world full of kawaii plushes, cupcakes and rainbows. I really hope you'll enjoy my scrapbook pages xoxo Sayōnara, Roberta
Brenda:I am a lover of all things paper crafting. I got into scrapbooking about 9-10 years ago, soon after the birth of my first child. It became an obsession a few years later when I discovered a scrapbook store close by the new home we had just moved into. My first love is scrapbooking, but I also love to make cards, gifts, and home décor items with my scrapbook supplies. So much versatility in this craft is what keeps me from getting bored. It’s like a million crafts all rolled into one. I can paint, sew, draw, stamp, etc. etc. if I want to. It’s all fair game!
My husband, Eric, and I have been married for 13 years and we have three kids ages 10, 8, and 4. My kids are most often the subject of my pages although I have begun scrapbooking more about myself and have begun an album about my husband and me.
I don’t have a particular style of scrapbooking. I think I am ever growing and changing, still finding my own unique style. I love a good challenge and love working with sketches. They are a great starting point for any page. Sometimes I stray a lot from a sketch, but at least it got me going in the right direction.
I am so excited to be working with the Butterfly Crafts team.
I've been scrapbooking for 2 years now enticed by all the pretty papers! My girls are usually the main focus of my pages but I am keen on scrapping myself and my passions.
I love challenge and sketch blogs, often using these as inspiration and a springboard. I'm so thrilled to be a part of the Butterfly Crafts team - I've been playing along with their challenges since they started. You can see more of my work at http://beautifullilysramblings.blogspot.com/
Jeune Girl (AKA Meghan): I am a SAHM living in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley with my husband of 10 years and our 2 beautiful daughters, ages 6 & 4. I have always been a creative person but really began scrapbooking as a way to chronicle the lives of my girls.
Kylie: I'm Kylie from Australia Down Under. I am married to a wonderful husband that supports my scrapbooking when i'm not spending money...ha...ha...I have 3 gorgeous girls-Kayley 10, Emma 7 and Bridget 4.I have been scrapping from 2006 and love everything there is to scrapbooking.I do especially love bright and bold but occassionally i do the "pretty" layouts of my girls! Looking forward to this new adventure and getting to know you all :)
